Hung was born hearing, but developed an ear infection at around 2 months old, and at 18 months he no longer responded to sound. His parents kept him at home until he was 7 years old. He came to New Beginnings in 2018. After several years at New Beginnings, Hung is doing very well in school, and is able to communicate in sign language. He even taught his younger brother how to sign, who can now translate for Hung to speak to his mom. Hung is full of joy and is proud of his accomplishments.
