Thu loves coming to New Beginnings. She comes from a family of five, and has a twin sister who is hearing. She was forced to drop out of school when the COVID epidemic struck her home city. Soon after, she heard about New Beginnings and came to study there. Since beginning to learn sign language at school, Thu is teaching her sister it too. She can now help Thu communicate with her parents. Thu's teachers say they see improvements in her studies every day. Her favorite subjects are writing and art. She also really likes when they have practical life classes, such as bike safety. It makes her feel more confident about navigating the world as a deaf person.
